Weighted Average Price Formula
Average Price = Total Invested Amount ÷ Total Shares
Where Total Invested = Σ (Purchase Price × Quantity for each purchase).
Example
Buy 1: 10 shares at ₹150. Buy 2: 15 shares at ₹130.
- Total Invested: (10 × 150) + (15 × 130) = ₹1,500 + ₹1,950 = ₹3,450
- Total Shares: 10 + 15 = 25
- Average Price: ₹3,450 ÷ 25 = ₹138.00
