What Is FLAMES?
FLAMES is a popular game played by children and teenagers to predict the relationship between two people. Each letter stands for:
- F – Friends
- L – Love
- A – Affection
- M – Marriage
- E – Enemy
- S – Siblings
How to Calculate FLAMES
- Write both names and remove all common letters (one match at a time).
- Count the remaining letters from both names.
- Use this count to eliminate letters from FLAMES one by one, counting cyclically.
- The last remaining letter is your FLAMES result.
How to Play FLAMES on Paper
Take two names, for example "RAHUL" and "PRIYA". Cross out common letters: R, A. Remaining: H, U, L, P, I, Y = 6 letters. Count to 6 in FLAMES, remove that letter, repeat until one remains.
Example
Names: RAHUL and PRIYA
- Common letters: R, A (cancel one from each name)
- Remaining letters: H, U, L from RAHUL + P, I, Y from PRIYA = 6
- Count 6 through FLAMES repeatedly, removing the 6th letter each time
- Result depends on the elimination sequence
